Vinification: One of our worst yields from our estate was the drought year of 2015. We were fortunate enough to get some excellent fruit of Pinot Noir from our friends down south in Sta Rita Hills at Duvarita Vineyards and make it in our style. Foot stomped whole cluster and left to soak for 8 days. Long elevage of 23 months in neutral oak. Racked descending moon and bottled 2 moons later.
Tasting Notes: “Straight up Burgundian”- Stetson Robbins, Black Lamb Wines
The appearance is medium ruby with bright edges. Classic Pinot Noir aromas, strawberry, earthy, red cherry pie, soft red plums. Lovely minerality, soft smooth red floral flavors of plum, rosehip, lovely dry finish, with fresh tobacco leaf. -Glenn the Cumbrian
